For Just 1 believes that if just one person is impacted, our work is worthwhile.
For Just 1 is a faith-based humanitarian organization that serves the suffering and provides financial assistance, education, community development, and empowerment in the name of Jesus to the impoverished, widowed, orphaned and oppressed. For Just 1 has a specific focus on empowering “the girl child” protecting her basic human rights and allowing to finish school and to develop into a leader in her community, county and even the world.
What started in Georgetown, Texas grew as a partnership in rural Kenya to serve children, widows, orphans, the poor and the elderly. Founder Wendi Lester Efflandt’s heart was captured as she spent more and more time serving God’s people, and over the years began creating opportunities for more individuals to be a part of the work being done and to expand the scope of the work .
“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.” Matthew 18: 12-14
